There are two separate services you'll need for a functioning website - a domain name plus a web hosting plan for it. Whenever you type the domain address in your browser, you see the content that is uploaded inside the hosting account, but if that Internet domain isn't linked to such an account or to an e-mail service, it is parked. In other words, the Internet domain is registered and you are its owner, but it lacks content of its own. Instead, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” webpage from the registrar company, or it can be forwarded to any other URL of your choice. The main advantage of parking a domain is that you can keep it and make sure that nobody else will take it. At the same time, it won't block a slot for a hosted domain address in your account. You could also park domains if you have a .com, for example, and you register domain addresses with other extensions such as .net, .org or country-code ones to forward them to the main website as a way to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Shared Website Hosting

When you have a shared website hosting plans through us, you're going to be able to park all of your domains with ease. The feature is available for the domain addresses registered through our company, and not for the ones that are only hosted here and directed from some other company, because a domain name can be parked only through its registrar. Our Domain Manager tool will allow you to pick from a number of different templates and you are going to be able to add custom text to any one of them. Forwarding a domain name to another URL is as easy as only typing the Internet address and saving it. If you would like to host any of your parked domain names, it takes only a mouse click to do it and our system is going to do the rest - changing the name servers, setting up a domain folder in your account, setting up the required DNS records, etc. For simpler administration, you are going to be able to filter the domain addresses registered in the account by their status - parked or hosted.

Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers

With each and every semi-dedicated server we provide you are going to have the opportunity to park as many domain addresses that are registered with us as you want. Since only the registrar company can offer a parking option, you can not park domain addresses which are only hosted on our sophisticated cloud hosting platform. Through the Domain Manager section of your Hepsia hosting CP you'll be able to park and un-park domains with only a couple of clicks and filter all domains that you've got by their status, for much easier administration. We provide a number of different templates that you can use and if you want to, you may also include some custom text to each of them. If you decide to un-park a domain and host it inside your account, you won't have to do anything manually - our system will create a domain folder in the File Manager section and will set up all the necessary DNS records so that the domain functions properly and starts opening the content that you upload for it on our servers.
